Q. Where is the Canadian Obesity Summit being held?

A. The COS is a unique interdisciplinary conference showcasing cutting-edge research as well as dedicated tracts for health practitioners, and workshops organized by groups working in the obesity space. We look forward to welcoming health professionals from all disciplines, researchers, policy makers, and industries related to obesity prevention and management.

Click here for the program-at-a-glance. The final program is coming soon! The Canadian Obesity Summit will take place from Wednesday April 26 to Friday April 28, 2017. Pre-conference workshops, including the Dietitan's Learning Retreat will take place Monday April 24-Tuesday April 25.

Q. I've attended the Summit, how can I get a copy of my certificate of attendance and credits?

A. Certificates of attendance have been (or will be) emailed out to each delegate to the email that you registered for the Summit with. If you require another copy of the certificate please contact [email protected] or [email protected]

Q. How much does it cost to attend the Canadian Obesity Summit?

A. Click here for Summit Registration Fees. Delegates may register for the full conference or for a day pass. Members of the Canadian Obesity Network receive a registration discount. Click here to join for free. Group discounted rates are available for groups registering 5 people at the same time. Register before Monday March 6 th , 2017 for early bird reduced rates.

Q. What does my registration fee include?

A. The full registration fee includes welcome reception (Tues April 25), access to exhibition and poster area, access to sessions, and pre-summit (Tues April 25) and post-summit (Sat Apr 29) workshops. Note: the Dietitians Learning Retreat (April 24-25) is not included in the COS registration fee but is available at an additional cost.

Q. What is the Dietitian's Learning Retreat?

A. The Dietitian's Learning Retreat is a pre-summit workshop taking place April 24-25, 2017 at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. The Canadian Obesity Network in partnership with Dietitians of Canada host this intensive educational experience with a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of obesity management and the role of the dietitian in inter-professional bariatric care. Participants may register and attend the Learning Retreat only or attend the Learning Retreat and COS 2017 at a discounted rate. Click here for details.
